They are purposely adding pretty much everything possible to make you consume more of them, including things like partially hydrogenated oils, refined sugars, high fructose corn syrup, and sodium nitrate. If it has a fast food sandwich, chips or fries as its main dish it will be full of sodium and crap.
3. Eat Less Sodium
Sodium is something that is used a lot in processed foods. Most canned goods have a lot of sodium in them. Many snacks such as chips are super salty and do not good for you at all. Just because something is labeled reduced fat or lean it does not mean that it is low in sodium. Be sure to check the labels on everything you buy so you can choose healthy products over the ones that might be bad for your heart and blood pressure.
